Everyone,

I am selling my new laptop[ which is a samsun qx411i 14 inch laptop with 6 gb ram ddr3, 1tb hdd, 2.53 i5 processor, wifi ethernet, etc the usual stuff. I also have JAWS 12.0 professional with a dongle authorization I need to get rid of these quick I need the money. I'm asking $1000 for both together. That is $500 for each. The laptop has all cables, disk, box, and a carry case. Blindbargains as far as I'm concerned is a scam, they denied every credit card I gave them, as as far as I know they're keeping all my info on file. They denied my friend's, mine, 3 of them I might ad, and they fail to respond to messages. Make me an offer someone, I need the cash immediately. respond with questions.

Doesn't sound like something blindbargains would do. I would be leary of purchasing anything from this user guys. Blindbargains and ATGuys are awesome and I have never ever had any troubles with either, and I know I could get in contact with the people over there virtually any time of the day I want. I know they're at conventions and are busy this past few weeks, but I can't see as how they would just neglect their customer base.

Guess I posted on the other side and didn't understand.
If you are trying to sale this laptop, why does it matter about Blind Bargains?
You own it, so the person that buys it will be dealing with you directly right?

The reason for trying blind bargains, is because trying to sell a product designed for the blind to anyone else just won't work. This is why I roll my eyes when someone says to put jaws on ebay or craigslist.

As for blind bargains, my friend on my behalf, paid for my ad. He, too, verified the credit card payment system does not work, and though they CLAIM not to hold your cc info, having multiple cc's being turned down is very suspicious. The only way he was able to pay was via paypal. Sketchy sketchy sketchy. Now after having my friend pay $5, I'm also willing to bet that I'll get no hits. You just have to realize the market for this kind of stuff just isn't big. When it is available, people price their murchandize through the roof. This is why I'm pricing this entire set up for $1000. For what the other person is getting that's a damn good deal. Then of course you've got people like violin lady or whatever her name is stating that I'm sketchy when she/he hasn't even met me or conversed with me. Guess they don't understand that other people besides them actually need money and that I'm actually doing something with my life, so therefore someone else benefits from my misfortune. But I digress. So I guess that makes me an untrustworthy person. I have and will never screw anyone over. I know what it's like to live on a check to check basis, so I'm willing to work with people.

blind bargains is a reputable organization. You are just making yourself look bad by critasizing them. And, I don't mean any offense by that at all. I'm glad you are trying to do something, and I really really understand what it is to need money quickly. I'm sorry I can't help myself. If worst comes to worst, try selling just the lap top on Craig's list or ebay. I would reccomend local Craig's list because then you won't have to pay for shipping. good luck.

Well my ad finally was put up on the site and have had one email about jaws so far this afternoon. It is a fact that you cannot pay for an ad using a credit card and that issue needs to be addressed. It will end up making people think something is wrong, then when they try 1, 2 3 other cards and they're all declined, what is one supposed to think. When you're dealing with financial information I don't screw around. First impressions, especially with online business, are everything. Why you have to pay $5 to post an ad is kind of ridiculous. The blindie market and economy is like a huge vacuum. You don't see craigslist getting mega rich, why should someone advertize a craigslist look alike advert site designed for the blind then collect a bunch of money without letting the person see for themselves the service actually is legit. I believe the only reason this guy jj got back to me is because I knew someone who talked to him in person. After replying to his email 2 more times, I never got a response. So, I guess he doesn't give a shit that his payment system is broken. If paying for an ad via paypal is the only option then I guess I don't really need to post it that bad do I? Paypal is not even an FDIC insured bank, they're merely a website. After going through many problems with them, and reading up on many law suits and people who've gotten screwed over, specifically when making sales on ebay, Paypal just holds all your money. It's actually a reverse engineered scheme. After I finish reversing my negative balance of negative $109.49, I'm closing my account and using a payment system which is legitimate. Now people are going to tell me I'm crazy and paypal is the greatest thing since sliced bread, but wait until they screw you over and hold your money and claim your account is disabled because they need to have more verification information about you, which, by the way, they've no legal or legitimate reason to have. However, paypal knows there is no other competition and everyone uses them. Quit feeding the Lion and it will die eventually.

Well I don't know about Blind Bargains, but I do know if you are trying to get someone to purchase something you should stick to the purchase and not bring in your feelings, opinions, or personal issue.
When you do this you make your buyer afraid to deal with you, because you are showing that you can get cranky if problems should arrise.
I personally don't need the products, but feel if you are going to move them you should drop the personal.
To late here, but now I'm up to speed on it anyway.

You are making yourself seem not reputable by your complaints. Again, I really understand your issue, but like these people say, leave sour emotions out of it and stick to strictly business.

What's this supposed to be, a smeer campaign for a well-respected vendor of blindness and electronic items, or an add to sell something? It sounds more like this individual didn't even bother to read the goddamn fine print and is pissed because what he tried didn't work. boo fucking hoo.

I totally agree with the last post. I've never heard anything bad about Blind Bargains either. I'm planning on selling a Braille Note sometime in the near future, as soon as I get it up and running, and I intend to use Blind Bargains to sell it. And what's this about Paypal? *shakes head*
